i /think/ the thing i'm picking away at where krennic just randomly comes in with good news and picks up galen's daemon is the first time /he's/ touched /her/ but krennic's daemon's logic is more "well i'm the daemon in question and i'm fine with it so what's the problem" as far as humans go and galen should probably be concerned by how quickly he gets used to this but it's not that long after until he realizes the strange mammal climbing on him is sober and then that this isn't the first time.
OOOh yeah totally. And he just realizes he’s gotten completely used to it, and that he’s petting across its fur and muttering soothingly to it…
