How am I supposed to get anything done if I’m ready to fall asleep within two hours of getting home from work?!

remember that time everyone played up “love conquers all” and it was framed as this big “Finally We Are Going To Get Our Queer Holmes And Watson Finale” but then it turned out to just be a secret insane superpower sister and the hug between brother and sister was what saved her? 

but everybody (including the writers and producers) kept hamming that bit up and making it look like everyone was spilling too much about our already established characters when they said something about it so that the audience - the already invested queer audience who has been waiting DECADES for a modern adaptation that has the ovaries to have our leads be queer - can drink it up and think it’s about something else

only to completely turn on them like they always do and make it clear to said audience that TPTB had always thought this way and that you as the audience - especially queer audience - don’t fucking matter? That they laugh at you? That they ridicule you? That they think you’re fucking stupid for reading so much into the subtext (see: Anderson in S3E1) “instead of writing better text!!” (HBomberguy, 2017)? 

because I do. It’s one of the many things that 2017 decided would be good to have die on me. As in. It’s dead to me :)
