so i started working at a local plant nursery yesterday right? well today my boss just texted me and was basically like “by the way, i completely forgot to tell you that this is a seasonal job and i won’t need you in the winter. i’ll give you plenty of notice though!” like EXCUSE ME??? you didn’t think it was important to tell me BEFORE you hired me? that’s a pretty important thing to forget to tell someone. i wasn’t looking for seasonal work. i was looking for something year-round. what in the actual fuck??? i asked her if i could help out inside the store during the winter and she said “possibly, let’s play it by ear” like okay yeah. let’s play my employment by ear.
