Pathologic 2 is the first game I have ever played in my life like this. Last game I played was Mario kart and I lost.
I have two best friends in real life and the three of used to be very close. However as home and studies moved we grew apart. It doesn't seem the two talk to each other much and I barely talk to them. We live 15 minutes apart yet I will be lucky if we see each other once a month. They don't really tell me about their stuff anymore (the grandpa of one of them died months ago and I found out the other day)‚ we don't hang out on birthdays or special ocasions‚ I feel like I'm bothering them if I talk first.
They want me in my life if after years we are still friends but it doesn't feel like I have someone close to share my interests with anymore. They both have their boyfriends and I'm happy they got a close partner but it's sad to see you aren't as important to someone as you used to be. I don't think calling them my best friends feels right anymore. Closest friends maybe.
[diane chambers voice] couldn’t make summa??
This is just a thought, a random ass thought, but I know a lot of queer people. Even when I was living in a majority muslim south asian country, I knew queer people. Since I've moved to Europe, I've had the pleasure of being acquainted to so many more queer people. Its not everyone I meet, not even 50% of people I know, but from the top of my head I can name at least 5 people. If given time, I can name a hell of a lot more.
It means something. That I know so many queer people, despite not going to any bars, or joining any lgbtq+ clubs. Just random ass people I've met in everyday life. And these are just the queer people that I know. I'm well aware there's more people that I don't know of.
Just. Suddenly it means a lot to me that there's a sizable amount of us. It means something. And it means something when I watch a movie, or a TV show, and I don't see a single queer person in it. Rather than it being that there's no representation, what bothers me is that it's unnatural.
It's unnatural to see no queer people in a movie. And that is such a gratifying realisation to me right now because for the longest time, everyone's been rubbing it in our faces that what's unnatural instead is being queer.
And as someone who's still growing up in so many ways, it is so gratifying to have real proof that they're wrong.
i'm bad at deciding, so i need y'all's help. this is gonna happen after c&f/cmi/entertainer, butttt it will happen :P

Who was gonna tell me that 2020 was gonna make me fall in love with ships I unknowingly shipped as a kid?
@expectoxpatr-ohno from THIS which stabbed me in the heart.
Joe’s hand was stretched out to her, as if some powerful link would keep her right in the spot where she was. Afraid taking a step would prompt her to take one herself, the distance between Joe and Marlene remained. He didn’t understand completely why would mortals would go to the lengths of jumping, of letting themselves be swept further and further by seas, or plenty other ways they machinated to meet him before time. He didn’t get it. How the precious git of life could be so void or horrible for them to want it taken away in a second. Comprehension may never dawn on him. This was Marlene though, the one he had been visiting for twice a decade and she seemed to get worse. Failing to see that maybe he was too selfish to keep her in the realm where she no longer wanted a part of. Thinking that maybe that spark of potential he’d seen that night so long ago kept withering until it was no more. Anger set ablaze within when she told him to stay away, too blind to see the pain for what it was and instead confused it for stubbornness. He didn’t like the way she was talking nor the words she pronounced.
❛ ENOUGH! ❜ he demanded with storm-struck gaze ❛ I’ve given you more time you insolent child, and this is what you do with it? Cling to me like you have nothing else to do in your life. Haven’t you seen around you? You are too BLIND to see what you have and fixated on what you don’t. ❜ By then he had stomped his way to her side and held her by the wrist, carelessly tugging her away from the cliff to a safer zone. ❛ You want this to stop? FINE, but not like this. ❜
