|| It’s nothing much; not compared to what you’ve done for me, but I hope this makes you smile this Christmas. I’ve known you for such a long time and no matter how many times I think about it, the companionship you’ve given me always warms my heart. No matter where I go or what I try you’re always there supporting me---like an anchor when I need to be leveled, like a sail when I want to branch out again. I can’t thank you enough.

Gilbert squealed and exuberantly grabbed the boy for a good cuddling. Smooching Mikazuki on the cheek, he exclaimed, "You're so freaking cute!"

The small toudanshi began to giggle loudly as he was scooped up for cuddling. Mikazuki just kept giggling as he spoke, “I’m not that cute Gil-san!”

          Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It stands as a prelude of sorts for the day’s following meals, influences one’s tastes until the next day when breakfast would be served again. In that way, Noel thought, the mouth and stomach were like newborns---their first impressions of food began anew with breakfast. If breakfast went poorly, who could say how lunch and dinner would prevail?

     Perhaps that was why Noel opted to treat Gilbert to waffles---gingerbread waffles, warm and malleable. The fruit that accompanied them (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries) were generously plump; fresh. ❛ My father doesn’t quite understand the importance of breakfast. ❜

               A rant. A Noel rant. ❛ Ah, to each his own, I suppose. The syrup is to your left---be as frivolous with it as you please. ❜
