This collection dives head first into the deep and tempestuous end of reflection and mental health awareness. You have to acknowledge your darkness (the yin to your yang) to find your light, and that is where I am on my journey.

Big works are so tricky to photograph. Even before it's varnished, it's a battle to get the entire piece in the frame (because of the size of my work space) and once I do, I still have to contend with the light. I do love working big. I forgot just how physically taxing it can be on the body.

Last year, when things went sideways, I shifted to working with new shapes with more angles and edges so I would have more ways to bounce back and pick myself up. Hexagons were fun, but for my next piece I'm going with a circle (no edges or corners) so I can just keep on rolling with the punches.
