Beauty goes beyond aesthetics ❤️
This is a smaller acrylic painting from many years ago. I have always loved architecture, and I often play with it in my work. I have some great geometric works you can take home and put on your walls today. I also have a brand new collection coming your way very soon.
"When You Lose Your Hope, Let Me Give You Mine." This acrylic on canvas painting is 36in x 36in. I have a ton of art spanning decades of creation and multiple bodies of work. If you're looking to take something home, I'm happy to help.
Some stories may be ugly, but that ugliness can have its own beauty 💙
Here's a little flashback to a painting from around 2009. This is "Transition." At the moment, I am transitioning to a new body of work that goes back to some of my geometric roots with a new twist. The first painting from my new series will be debuting soon.
I’m starting to do some small group mentoring for artists trying to learn about the business of art. My upcoming mentorship group with Mastrius is built around you, your questions, your work, and your goals.
My initial mentor group will meet once a month, and it will focus on:
▪ How to find yourself as an artist
▪ How you can pragmatically take your passion as far as you would like
▪ How you may be holding yourself back
▪ How to find the unique path that will work for you
▪ The business side of art that others don’t speak about
This is more than just a once month meeting. You will also received access to some incredible resources and opportunities for artists. I welcome you to join me on this journey so we can grow together 🧑🎨❤️
A little fluid art for a sunny day in Southern California. This is "Trapped In The Current Of Tidal Waves."
The best place to lose yourself to find yourself 🔥
"1t Gets S0 L0nely 1ns1de My Head." I am an artist with a traumatic brain injury, and this painting is from my "Open Wounds" collection. Sometimes you need to tear yourself open and expose your wounds so they can breathe and heal. I wanted to play with a binary code concept for title of this piece 💜
"The One Who nEver Was." This painting is from my series "The Boy In The Box." I'm an artist with Tourette's and a traumatic brain injury. I live in a constant state of feeling pulled between worlds and states of being. I like to capture the moments between the breaths and the echoes of the soul 💙
Acrylic on canvas. 48in x 36in. All my art is seeking a forever home in this world.
What's wild is that what you consider bad, someone else may love. Just start creating, because you have to bring something into existence before you can improve it ❤️
This 5ft painting is part of a diptych commission I did. It was meant to represent the infinite, and it also had a digital experience where you could scan the piece through an app for an augmented reality experience. Each piece would transform into the other before your eyes.
"Say Hello To Goodbye." This piece is from my series "The Boy In The Box." It's acrylic on canvas. 24in x 24in. Sometimes the best thing you can do to move forward is say hello to goodbye 👋❤️
That's a fact. I'm about to get to it now 🧑🎨
"Voices Of The Invisible" is a 60in x 36in painting from my series "The Up-Side Of Down." This series, and my work overall, is about transmuting pain to purpose and creating light from your darkness.
This week I had the pleasure of doing a studio visit with Shaun Cassidy of Vanguard Culture. Vanguard Culture is bringing art and culture to the forefront in San Diego, and we discussed how I may be able to play a bigger role in being a part of that. Both Shaun and I will be guest speakers at The Business Of Being An Artist symposium at Sparks Gallery June 13th and 14th. Join us for two days of some great speakers and incredible insights.
"The Insatiable Monster Eating Away At Me From The Inside." This 48in x 30in painting dives head first into addiction. Vodka and Xanax were mixed with the paint to create it. Much of my work explores themes of addiction, trauma, and mental health 💙
