Social web data mining
Just came across the book 'Mining the social web' by Matthew Russell. Love the hands on approach -- learning is a great fun so far!! Examples are in python -- rich in libraries!!
Note: Twitter changed their API policy few months ago (March, 2013 ??), so the 1st edition is bit out dated. But no worries, author maintains a great up-to-date repository (source code, example, even few chapters) on GitHub. Believe the 2nd edition is due soon (https://github.com/ptwobrussell/Mining-the-Social-Web-2nd-Edition).
