If you are looking for a non-racist, non-ethnocentric alternative to the term “tribalistic” as it is all too commonly used, try “sociocentric” instead. According to Merriam–Webster, “sociocentric” means “concerned with or centered on one’s own social group”. (I first encountered this term while reading Critical Thinking by Richard Paul and Linda Elder.)
