I loathe Koyomi Araragi. How much do I hate him? Goodness, I hate him so much it overwhelms me. Simply thinking about him is heartrending agony. I stop being able to think about anything else. Even if all the hatred in the world were gathered together like a bouquet, it would be no match for the singular hatred I have for Araragi. My hatred rivals the sun.

If I were to lose this revulsion, I could no longer be myself. My rampant contempt for Araragi is my identity as a person, the axis of my being; the dead center of my very self. If I did not hate him, it would be impossible for me to be me.  I have withstood all the terrible things I’ve seen, and all the tragedies and disasters I’ve faced, by comparing those adversities to that man.

I am very afraid that this hate, this dizziness and heartburn and nausea and shivers and goosebumps, will disappear from inside of me. Just imagining myself forgiving him, even a little, makes me feel like dying. That is how fragile my presence is inside of me, and how impudent his is.

I wonder if what he did to me is equal to how much I hate him—no, I feel such disgust for that man that there is no room for any sensible doubt. Simply remembering Araragi’s smile, his kindness, his concern, his friendliness, and all of his actions, I feel like weeping. Neither riches nor torture, no matter how bountiful or ghastly, can make me reconcile with Araragi. This alone I cannot allow; this alone I cannot yield.

(Yes this is another post about monogatari series, i just bought the book box so ive been unable to think about another thing, just let me have my self indulgent thoughts about my hyperfocous this one time)

Okay, that araragi is an hypocrite i think most people who have watched the series and have payed the least of attention understood that…but i feel that the level of that hypocrise just kinda Goes above most peoples head,and nothing proves this for me more than the fandom reaction to the sodachi and araragi talk in sodachi lost.like people treat that talk as if its super mature of araragis part saying that sodachi should search for happiness in her Life and sure its cute and all but like are we forgetting this is the SAME CARACTER that literally Said its fine of shinobu and him are unhappy at the end of shinobu mail?The same guy WHO EXPLICITLY chose to make everyone in kizu unhappy??like sure araragi grew a lot since kizu but you guys need to understand that the entirety of his suicidal tendencie went away only after fucking MAYOI HELL…like he doesnt understand the complete value of living until FUCKING MAYOI HELL!!sure he didnt kill himself because he knew it would hurt other BUT THE THOUGHT WAS STILL THERE….like while he knew that his death would hurt other he also never trully understood why thats it….like the whole Point of araragis arc is that this dude fucking hates himself and tried to compensate it by helping others OF COURSE HE DOESNT THINK HE IS WORTH HAPPINESS. and thats why while i love this scene im not one to agree with most takes of people in it exactly because araragi IS NOT BEING TRUTHFULL AT LEAST NOT COMPLETLY.like my take on this scene is that i think araragi GETS that hes being hypocrite but his lack of self steam makes him ignore the fact…like he puts himself as different from sodachi that he did something to deserve this WHEN NO HE IS JUST LIKE HER….besides araragi is again hiding and trying to fix the least when he should just continue hes life…he again is trying to help someone to feel better about hi self while running away from the true problem, and while i dont think araragi did that maliciously or even conciously and like in this case his intervention was mostly positive for the person he helped seeing that his Word did actually help sodachi someway,but again this is just a case of good consequences being not necessarly the Point…like im sure he was happy he helped her and everything is just that (at least for me)this scene Goes way deeper than that and i think this most people didnt really pay attention to that.
