Eyes groggily opened up, a small hiss escaping her lips when the sunlight shined down on her face. With a grumble, she slowly rose into a sitting position, hair sticking out all over the place. What time is it..? Ears gave a brief flicker at the chirping from outside, a hand coming to rub at her face sleepily. Her nose instantly wrinkled at the tickling sensation of something brushing against her, but she didn’t think much of it.
It wasn’t soon that when she glanced down - She saw something strange. A red string tied to her pinky. Confused, she followed the thread’s path, which swerved down her bed, all along the floor, before disappearing under the door to her room. “What the hell..?” She didn’t have this on her before, she was pretty certain of that. That idiot better not be playing a trick on me..The youkai male instantly came to mind, lips scrunching up into an irritated frown. Deciding it wasn’t worth the effort of getting mad over, her hand wrapped around the thread that was tightly secured to her pinky, giving it a few tugs to pull it off. “E-Eh..?” Nothing happened. It was stuck on there like glue.
—For a second, she could of sworn she felt something pulling at her.
Frustrated, Zakuro rolled off the bed and stumbled towards her study desk, grabbing at the scissors laying there that she had been using the night before. “Time for you to go bye bye, you stupid string!” Zakuro, with ears perked up high in determination, clamped the tool down over the thread, closing it with a sharp ‘snap.’ When she pulled it back, a bewildered expression appeared on her face. The string, of course, was still there. Even after her scissors tried to chop it in half. What a conundrum. “What the hell is going on here!?” She shrieked loudly.
Okay, so let’s get show on the road!
Basically, the gist of this event is, whenever your character wakes up that morning (whether it be student or teacher) they will discover a red string tied around their pinkies, trailing to their soul mates~ This will give those who haven’t threaded yet (being paired up with someone via the generator or just in general really) a chance to do so!

Who knows what will await you at the end!
Any attempt at trying to cut, burn, or mangle the strings, will result in nothing but failure. Although, you are most certainly pleased to try and get rid of it, as many times as you want.
In another note - If your characters do try and get this string off, be warned! the thread that leads to their fated partner will get shorter and shorter, until ultimately, the two will be bound together by force. That means movement will be restricted, and it will make things pretty awkward for both participants.
The only way to really loosen these threads is for each person to get along for the remainder of half a day. Being able to understand your partner and know them better will also help. When this happens, the string will slowly unwind enough to give mobility. If by a rare chance that this does not work, seeing as some fated partners probably dislike each other - just to make it easier on the poor students of Tancho Academy and teachers, at midnight, the strings will slowly loose their effect and will revert back to their original shape.
These strings are only seen by the two fated individuals. For example, Zakuro and Tomoe would be able to see the strings connecting the two, but they themselves, would not be able to see their friends, or vice versa.
Now, I know this event might not work for everyone, and that's perfectly fine! So please, don't feel pressured to participate if you don't want to. So in the chances that your roleplay partner is either inactive, in a hiatus, or you haven't found a fated partner yet, and you still choose to join in this regardless, your characters will still see the red string, but all efforts at trying to find where it leads exactly too, is a mystery.
This event will last up to 4 days, total. I know some people can be slow when it comes to replying, and there are others who unfortunately might have to work and would miss the first day, so this will give everyone a chance to fully participate.
