Trick or Treat!! 🦇
hello, random wheel on the internet says TRICK~ 🎃🎃🎃
happy blorbo blursday! let’s say your oc is in our modern world (if they aren’t already). what would they order when they walk into a coffee shop for the first time?
@rydykg
oh, oh, oh! I like this ask so much (not because I love cafes and coffee too much nuh-uh nope)
If it's Nyx, it's definitely gonna be Long Black or any plain coffee with as much espresso shots as the barista would allow. No milk, with the littlest sugar possible, and over ice.
Erebus will have matcha. Because he's cultured. With a splash of milk.
Valentine will get the most popular drink off the menu. Seneca is definitely a caramel macchiato girl through and through.
Happy STS!
In the vaguest sense possible, what is you WIP about? (Love, Hope, Revenge, etc.)
~Morri🗡 (@memento-morri-writes)
happy STS! [totally missed this i'm so sorry]
in the vaguest sense possible and in one word, DMW is power.
Forsaken Gods, surprisingly, is faith.
All the Devils are Here is friendship.
Hi! I'm currently procrastinating studying for my big math exam that i have tomorrow by scrolling through this hellsite and thinking about writing something! And since you're often posting about other people's WIP, here's mine:
It's called Cartridge manor, but my main problem is that I'm writing it in my native language, because although I'm fluent with english, the writing process wouldn't be that smooth. (Okay this is turning into a bigger vent OOPS)
Anyways it's a pretty simple story when a London-based girl is kinda forced to move to and old Irish manor where it just seems like the time has stopped. She makes some friends and immediately finds a hidden access to an attic, befriends a suspicious cat and climbs out of a window to eat pancakes. But under this all, her neverending search for a long-lost mother continues, while she tries to uncover the old magic of Catridge and balance totally-not-falling-in-love with new friendships.
Well, I'm kinda stuck on it right now tho. Sorry for this message that was totally supposed to be much shorter and enjoy your day!
hiii I'm sorry for getting back to this SO late.
But first of all, this particular WIP is already SO right just by having a suspicious cat. As a dog person, I think all cats are suspicious, but majestically and rightfully so. (To be fair there are times when dogs are suspicious too, but then u find out they just spread chewed toilet paper everywhere not being all magical and stuff) And then you add pancakes??? Good stuff.
I relate with smoothness of writing it in your native language. Just that one factor alone made me revise one of my WIPs like a million times. One good thing I found about writing it in English is it having a wider reach, especially since I'm not sure a local audience will appreciate it the way I want it to be appreciated, but also there are so many jokes and concepts that get lost in translation when I just stick with English so... all I'm saying is I get it, it's hard. I hope you figure out that part! (I certainly haven't lmao).
The part where time also seemed to stop in the mansion (like how???) is also interesting, and what do you mean long-lost mother???
This WIP sounds ~magical~, iykwim. Thank you so much for sharing it with me!
P.S. I hope that big Math exam went well too!
Hiya! You called for content so here I am! How are you btw? I'd love to hear more about what you're working on too!
So I'm doing nano this year, but my own version where I aim to write 20mins a day. Wordcounts aren't motivating to me but I can almost always fit 20mins of writing into my day. It's been going really well! I'm also aiming to just write A Draft rather than write well, and reminding myself whenever I get stuck that I just have to make it exist, it doesn't need to be good, which has done wonders for me.
For my main wip I took my culture and beliefs and am writing a fantasy that builds off of it all, similar to, say, 'Deathless' which is based on Russian fairy tales, folk stories, culture, and beliefs. (Not in terms of quality, though that's a dream of mine, just in terms of content and style of storytelling). I've also managed to hit upon a folklore tone, which I'm really pleased with. It's called 'Legends of Mourra'. I'm very excited!
Ok this has been a long message so I'll stop here lol, but thanks for the opprotunity to share this with you! ❤️
hello! this is a very late reply but I've been well, thank you!
I haven't been writing lately, mainly because of my day job and partly because I'm having trouble with my creative juices lately (currently trying to fix it with playlists and moodboards, which I might share one of these days hehe). Dead Man Walking occupies pretty much of the writing side of my brain, despite myself not doing any actual writing lmao.
Since I answered pretty late and it's already the end of November, I hope your Nano went well all throughout! I'm glad you found a system that worked for you, regularly finding 20 minutes of your day to write is an amazing thing. And I quite agree with your mindset! First drafts do not have to be perfect, and they don't even have to be good, they just need to be.
Also, Russian fairy tales! I think I haven't seen a lot of that around. Stories based on local fairy tales, culture, and beliefs hold a special place in my heart, because it's always a joy to get introduced to something completely new to you but has always been for some others. The Legends of Mourra sounds magnificent, I adore Sirin's devotion to her son. I hope to see more of it around writeblr!
Again, thank you so much for sending an ask! <3

Your wip sounds great and I'd love to be on the tag list 💖
hi, thank you! i'm sorry i saw this late, but yes you're added! <3
Hi there! I hope its still okay to come talk about our WIPs. I’m working on a story about a woman who has appointed herself the task of holding back the zombie apocalypse while waiting for the Prophesied Chosen One to come around and and kill the necromancer responsible, because the Prophecy says hes the only one who can do it. But after 15 years or so of waiting she’s like. Well it would be dumb if i didn’t at least Try to do it myself instead. So she steals the holy sword and takes off. Unbeknownst to her, the whole prophecy and zombie problem was manufactured by one of the kingdoms she works for, who want to use the “our prince is the chosen one” clout to expand past their borders and take over other lands without the need for as much war. They are. Not happy to discover the sword missing 😅
That seems like such a fun WIP to work with!! I LOVE that she has enough initiative to first hold back the zombie apocalypse (I'm sorry, how in the world does someone hold back an apocalypse? Alone????) then she goes thanos and says fine, I'll do it myself.
Imo that kingdom deserves it for such clout chasing behavior, I hope their veins pop in anger. Does this mean there's no real necromancer? Is the kingdom just fabricating it? Or do they have a necromancer in secret so they're like one of those huge corporations that says "hey we have a problem we made but good news is, we have a solution for it too!" so you'd have to buy their product? (I was told this was a marketing strategy lmao).
I have so many questions Anon why did you not leave a tumblr I can't scour around T-T
Thank you for this ask, anon, good luck with your WIP! <3
