Modern! Hugfia headcanons I think about a lot (so I make some of these canon in my fanfics)

Hugo comes over to the Enchancia castle so much it's as if he's Enchancian. (He got Roland to love him in two weeks.)

Sofia can drive, but Hugo's so whipped to the point of occasionally driving her to school and home.

Sofia is super obvious when anything's about him. If you see her smiling and giggling uncontrollably, it's probably Hugo. Daydreaming? Hugo. Her in pure bliss? Definitely Hugo.

Axel already treats Sofia like a sister and Garrick treats her as a daughter, like a sister and daughter they never had.

"I know I can be brother and sister with her, but please marry her so I'm actually her brother legally." -Axel to Hugo

The same thing goes for Hugo. James, Amber, Roland, Miranda, Baileywick, Violet, even Cedric all love him. (Well, Cedric shows it the least but Sofia knows he finds Hugo amusing.)

Midnight drives are a tradition for these two dorks.

They have so many pictures of them together. Hugo keeps one in his wallet and his nightstand, Sofia keeps one in her phone casing (her phone casing is clear so any interested parties will see that she's taken), she also keeps one in her locker, and Roland somehow let her put one up on the wall of the castle's living room.

Sofia keeps up with a lot of enchanted sports since her boyfriend goes to the Corinthian Sports School, and Hugo would take her to a lot of games. And she would never miss out on any of his recitals.

About four or five months into dating, Hugo finds out about the Secret Library and Sofia confesses.

He's worried sick about his girlfriend going on dangerous missions, but supports her nonetheless.

On their first anniversary, Hugo slipped a thin gold ring onto Sofia's ring finger nonchalantly, which earned him many questions from Sofia.

Giving up on getting anything out of him, she finally let it be, knowing full well that it was a promise ring.

Her friends gushed over it the very next day.

7. Sofia x Hugo (Sofia The First)

Technically in the beginning of Sofia The First after the movie/pilot episode "Once Upon a Princess", in the first epsiode of the series "Just One of the Princes", where Prince Hugo was first introduced, he was arrogant and overconfident, I thought if he was a frequent character he could have a nice development and thought he could go  well together with Sofia and remind me a little one of my most favourite shippings of all time (SakuraxShaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura, they had similar start too), since I thought he would only appear in this episode, I doubted he would appear again, was I wrong, he appeared again in "Flying Crown", that's when I started to ship them, "Lord of the Rink" episode is where it marked me to fully on board to ship them, in this episode specially, I think it left some hints that they might have romantic feelings for each other...

6. Jude x Milla (Tales of Xillia and Tales of Xillia 2)

They are pretty much my 2nd favourite shipping in the video games section, what I love about this pairing, even at the end when they are fully aware of each others feelings and mutual in a romantic way, they don't date even in it's sequel, but is clear they share a special connection, there is a shared romantic love bond, in a way they are couple but not in a mainstream way and what is usually expected, which I like a lot, how they grow as characters together, individually and with those around them.

5. Robin (female default only) x Chrom (Fire Emblem: Awakening)

This shipping gets as much love as much hate (it's around 40/40 and 20 is indiferent), there is many who ship it for Chrom as "Husbando"(meme crush/fictional crush, whatever you want to call it, which isn't my case), as there is many because it feels more involved in the story(it's one of the many reasons and a personal of mine, specially with Lucina being your daughter), there is more reasons why I shipped , Robin and Chrom being two halves of a greater whole, with f!Robin adds even more to "two part of the same whole", I love the sibling relationship of their children (Morgan and Lucina, it's so cute), the royalty and their general/captain, in this case the prince and his tactician/general dynamic is a very appealing dynamic for me and draws me in a romantic sense, because isn't often you see this kind of dynamic, it's kinda rare. You might find strange, the f!Robin I refer is the default customization and name, it's only with this one I ship with Chrom, I made a personalized avatar and name before, it didn't feel right for me, so I married Chrom with Sumia and personalised avatar single, because I have special attachment for f!Robin, it's for the default Robins (be it male or female), even I can't put f!Robin with other male candidate other than Chrom, yeah, even with m!Robin I'm picky, the Robins are my favourites of the fire emblem series I played (the titles with casual mode that went to the western audience). I do think f!RobinxChrom is slightly canon, for starters you can marry f!Robin to Chrom if you want to, despite the special connection shared between Robin and Chrom (be either female or male Robin) it can go ambiguously romantic or platonic, another curious thing about the children from the future, besides Morgan, Lucina is the only child one who can have tactician class if her mother is Robin, so what I'm saying even if m!Robin marries Sumia or Cordelia or Miriel, etc (their children won't get tactician class except Morgan female), but since Chrom has other female characters as marriage candidates and the same for f!Robin with male characters, I do think they're slightly canon for the reasons I pointed out. (small note: I don’t think their support conversations do it justice for this pairing except for the story and many fanarts plus doujinshis, it’s fun for a laugh but that’s it, it’s the story that made me ship them, not the supports, besides the Robins supports conversation with marriageable characters feels forced)

How I ended up shipping these two?:

Originally for me it was platonic.  First episode of them, I was like "Oh no, another bully?~". The second. "Aww they're now friends." At the third, years passed, I was now a teenager, "they're definitely just friends... wait... they're dancing... nah.. wait he carried her bridal style?! Hold on, Hugo was at the previous 2 episodes and they were enemies?!... oh well... can't wait for the royal wedding... *theories of what ifs pop up*... fine! I ship them! I love these 2, it's giving me royal mahwa vibes!^^ Sequel is coming, might as well enjoy them till they're confirmed to be not meant to be 💔💔💔

AND NOW HUGO AND SOFIA HAVE GOT A WHOLE EPISODE WITH HAND HOLDING AND CUTE LOOKS AND ALL AND I´M SHIPPING THE HELL OUT OF THEM AND THEY´RE ONLY KIDS BUT WHATEVER IT´S SOOOO CUTE AND I´VE GOT NO ONE TO FANGIRL WITH BECAUSE NOBODY AT WORK WATCHES SOFIA THE FIRST I´M THE ONLY KIDDO DOING THIS AND THEY DON´T UNDERSTAND OMG I´M DYING OF LOVE AND SHIPPING ARRRRGHHHHH!!!!
