Ramblings of a Wednesday Writer
One of the advantages of going to weekday morning mass at Little Flower (7am) is that I have the opportunity to witness the early stirrings of the Hip Hamlet of Hollywood.
Typically, I mosey from mass to the brand-spanking-new Publix on Young Circle. And lately, I’m seeing lots of new faces. Young couples, young couples with strollers—fresh faces. This is an encouraging sign. And once the CIRC opens, they’ll be lots of new bodies in the Burgh!
Hollywood Boulevard is so much cleaner since its overhaul…
Arts Park is oh so green…
We have a mayor who is supportive and connected to his constituents—he shows up everywhere and for every event…
And then there’s the hippest haunt in the Hamlet. I speak of the seriously chic Lounge at Runas (219 N. 21st Avenue). This space is steeped in history—a genuine landmark—a must stop for a tipple or two—what a vibe!
