testing my first batch of a resin /oil lacqeur on a scrap piece of sunflower and on watercolor paper. The lacqeur is a wild mix of several resins (copal, dammar, amber, frankincense, madtix) , dissolved in walnut oil, ethanol and isopropanol. I just threw in what I had laying around. I added Frech Soforouge ochre and did the test. Waiting for it to dry now, which might take several days. I didn't add Shellac yet. The whole thing will require many more tests and experiments, before I can start painting flutes with such a special kind of lacqeur.
