Oh, well if it hadn’t been time for him to do that yet it seemed like it was now. The farmer comes to a stop, half out of manners and half because Evie didn’t seem to be letting him go. Her arms around his waist. Her face against his back. There’s a soft sensation to be felt as well, and that contributes to the warmth that fills his chest (and cheeks). There’s a soft sigh to compliment the mood, and after discarding his gloves rests his hands against hers.
“Evie, wouldn’t you prefer if I had a bath or something before you did something like this? I can’t smell that good. It’s been a long day.” Ah, those moping noises... endearing and also the kind of thing that lowers his guard. “This is comfortable though. I missed you today.”

Imagine a scenario when VB wants to get comfy, so he grabs really safe and soft things and makes a huge pile of them, and then submerges himself into the pile as he falls asleep.

his head tilts, a gentle motion, eyes moving down to the hand which is now holding his own. he had spent plenty of time with sam, (some pointing out how the android seemed to follow the other around almost like a puppy), but this is new. his brain runs through different motives for such an action, eventually landing on the fact that sam views him as a friend. no one has ever held his hand before.
“this is nice.” he comments, and it comes with a small smile. maybe it’s a programmed response, but there’s something about the way it’s said, something that indicates that it’s more than that.
