This roasted prime rib recipe yields a succulent and flavorful main course that is perfect for special occasions or holiday dinners. The combination of garlic, rosemary, and thyme creates a delicious crust on the outside while keeping the meat tender and juicy on the inside.
Ingredients: 1 prime rib roast about 5-6 pounds. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped. 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and black pepper to taste.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven up to 450F 230C. Put chopped rosemary and thyme, olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Mix the garlic until it's broken up. Spread the paste out evenly over the prime rib roast by rubbing it on. To roast the meat, put it on a rack in a pan with the fat side facing up. Set the oven to high and roast the meat for 15 minutes to sear it. You can lower the oven temperature to 325F 165C and keep roasting until the meat is done the way you like it about 15 minutes per pound for medium-rare. Take the roast out of the oven and let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes. Then cut it into pieces. Cut the prime rib roast into pieces and serve.
