What are the best Taylor songs to listen to when your life has done to shit? Not because of romantic heartbreak, but just. Everything falling apart.
i turn to clean because of the lyric “when i was drowning that’s when i could finally breathe,” as it illuminates every single time i’ve made it back to brighter days, even when i’ve felt alone, lost or overwhelmingly confused. for me, i find a ton of solace in red (the whole album), as i think it captures how life can truly be quite tumultuous yet beautiful, so listening to that album on loop reminds me that amidst seemingly endless dark days, there will unequivocally be blissful, warm and bright moments ahead in life! this love and begin again have the most heavenly, soothing tempos, so i find they’re wonderful to turn to!! hang in there xx
ask me ANYTHING on anon and i will answer with complete honesty
And the first of the tarot readings have begun! This one is for @softestjohn using the Linestrider tarot by Siolo Thompson.
Okay, so, I did a simple three-card spread for this. This can mean a lot of things, depending on what sounds applicable to you. The straightforward interpretation is Past, Present, and Future. If the message seems to make more sense for a particular problem or situation, it may be Problem, Cause, Solution. In a relationship reading, it might be You, the Other, the overall Relationship. The order means less than what you take away from it, but I’ll label them Past, Present, Future for the sake of clarity. I’ll give a quick breakdown of what they mean individually and then an overall.
Past: Seven of Wands This card symbolizes struggle and challenge, encouraging you to take a stand and an active role in your own life.
Present: The Chariot This card is indicative of struggle, but also an omen that that struggle will lead to victory if you can stay disciplined and get your head and heart working together toward your goals.
Future: Four of Cups This card generally appears when you are feeling discouraged or bored in some aspect of your life. In can be a call to turn inward and closely examine your heart for what you truly want or need to do, but it can also be a caution that being too introspective has caused you to fall into a rut, and only by opening yourself up to new people and experiences will you find contentment again.
Overall: This reading would indicate to me that you are currently facing a challenge you do not know how to approach or fear you cannot overcome. The Chariot encourages you to trust yourself, reassuring you that you do have the ability to achieve what you’re striving for. I mentioned the contradictory nature of the Four of Cups, but, taking into account the other cards, I believe the Four of Cups is cautioning you not to pull too far into yourself as you’re going through this difficult period. You may need to reach out to a friend for help, or simply get out of the house and clear your head, but overthinking and isolation are only going to slow you down right now on the path to happiness and success.
