I just wanted to get something off my chest: As an autistic who is fluctuating between low and medium support needs, listening to high support needs autistics actually helps me contextualise my own needs. While I don't experience some difficulties to the same degree, there sometimes is the same tendency. For example, in the post I just read the person explained they needed prompts every time they need to change rooms. & while I don't experience that with every room, I have similar moments. Going down the staircase can sometimes feel straining to my brain, even though I can mostly force myself through it. I felt silly for having this difficulty but now I know that I can make a small adjustment and ask the people around me for prompts whenever I feel that way! To ease some of that strain.
I guess I wanna take that moment to say: thank you to all high support autistic people for your valuable contributions 💕 You really can help a lot of people when sharing your experiences! You certainly helped me.
