Soft Proofing for Print
SOFT PROOFING
> Open image in Photoshop
> Go to edit - Colour settings, make sure colour profile is sRGB IEC61966-21, Engine is set to Adobe (Ace) and intent is perceptual.
> Open the view menu - click chosen output profile.
> Select perceptual and tick the black point compensation.
> Save as PSF - Rename
> Apply gamut warning
> Image will then be displayed as a representation of how the final print will look.
*First image is without soft proofing applied, last image is with the above settings.*

SOFT PROOFING
STEPS:
1. OPEN IMAGE IN PHOTOSHOP
2. GO TO EDIT - COLOUR SETTINGS AND MAKE SURE THE COLOUR PROFILE IS sRGB IEC61966-2.1, ENGINE IS ADOBE (ACE) AND INTENT IS PERCEPTUAL
3. OPEN THE VIEW MENU AND CLICK ON PROOF SET UP THEN CUSTOM
4. SELECT DEVICE TO SIMULATE AND CLICK THE CHOSEN OUTPUT PROFILE
5. SELECT PERCEPTUAL AND TICK THE BLACK POINT COMPENSATION
6. SAVE PSF AND RENAME
7. APPLY GAMUT WARNING
8. IMAGE WILL DISPLAY AS A REPRESENTATION OF HOW IT WILL LOOK WHEN PRINTED
FIRST IMAGE IS WITHOUT SETTINGS BEING APPLIED AND LAST IMAGE IS WITH ALL THE SETTINGS APPLIED TO SHOW DIFFERENCE.
