karen legit loved her mom dude. like, when she was a kid she was a total mommas girl, and she still does love her mom even though her moms gone. that's a very important factor to my karen, because she actually truly does have feelings, and they're exhibited so damn clearly when she talks about her mom.

basically she thought the world of her mom, and she's fully convinced it's possible to die of a broken heart and that's why (well part of why) she hates her dad so much. because she blames him for the death of the only person she gave a damn about or that she felt cared about her
