Oh yeah between all the chaos Affinity by Serif launched whole new versions of their software
https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/ & I need to clear whole gigabytes of disk space so I can find out if Photo 2 is even better for image editing/zine graphics and if Publisher 2 will actually work for me working on a long zine file without constantly crashing.
A whole chunk of of the last zine was created/edited/designed in Affinity Photo & Affinity Publisher. (Affinity Photo was a massive game changer, compared to the ancient abandonware software I’d been using for @ 20 years because of crap computers & I don’t like change. Plus even though dealing with regular crashes, folders filling up with non-deleted temp files & autosaves & initial refusal to let me export the final pdf) version 1 Affinity Publisher was still a hell of a lot less of a heavy learning curve than Indesign & still didn’t make me want to switch back. If only one layered spread layout from issue 1 would convert over ok via idml, I’d totally uninstall it (indesign I mean).
