It twas never unusual for Sofya to randomly disappear from Asgard only to return months or years later with out a word. She always was a footloose kind of person. But this time she disappeared nobody thought anything of it other than Fandral, when other called him crazy or deluded for wanting to track her down he decided he would go after himself. Sofya had not left by her own will, the golden god was sure of this.
