Visual effects magicians Soho VFX return
For those of you familiar with a little film called Final Destination 3, one of the things you could possibly agree on would be that it had pretty kick ass visual effects, with set pieces such as the rollercoaster derailment party made all that extra bit terrifying by it's suitably jawdropping CGI work. Well, the guys responsible for that are a little company named Soho VFX, based in Toronto-the good news being that they're currently at work on some of FD5's major set peices. Some may not even care about this little bit of news, but I would ask that you recall the multiple elements which contributed to TFD's downfall. Bad script? Yes. Bad performances? Yes. Bad visual effects? We got a winner.
We can hopefully be rest assured that FD5's major action/death sequences will be crafted to the best possible quality by these guys, and I wouldn't expect anything less from them. It's also pretty amusing yet awesome that this company also worked on X Men: The Last Stand, those familiar would know that X3 featured a pretty jawdropping scene involving the Golden Gate Bridge, with it being slowly pulled apart-brought to reality by Soho's handy little work. I mention this for obvious reasons.
Anyway, hopefully Greg and his team are hard at work delivering what will hopefully be a premonition of the most epic scale, and deaths of the most bloody and visually realistic (?) value possible.
Ta!
