i hate this thing where people will reduce a story down to its most marketable tropes as if those are the best things about the story. its the fucking publishing industry trick all over again i don’t care how many popular tropes and comparative lit this story has if it isn’t any GOOD. yeah on paper lesbian starcrossed enemies to lovers vampire x vampire hunter sounds appealing but how is the execution how is the writing how are the characters if those things aren’t any good then i don’t care about all the hot topic trendy tropes slapped over it
