Was working on this till the late hours of Valentines Day night. So, I didn't quite get it out on time to share on all platforms. But I hope you can enjoy this little bit of Valentines Day art regardless.
Patching some fire dancing...
With this art prompt going on all month, I just realized I'm never going to find a break in posts all month to share it. So I might as well just suck up the double post and just share it now...
A sketch of Sara I did last week exploring the possibly of having an cultural tradition that takes inspiration from Hawaiian fire dances. She grew up and was raise on an island full of people who wield fire, so I thought it was a fitting parallel to draw. Even tried incorporating fire Sol Spirits that help with the tradition...
A bit of an old drawing but I don't think I've ever properly posted it and it has a lot of details about Sol Spirits, so I figured it was important to share when they're such a core concept to the hypothetical gameplay of Overseer of the Elements.
There is full alt text for everything written so feel free to reference that if you can't make things out in my tiny, rough hand writing.
Took a bit of digging through my sketch book but I think I found some of the other alt Sol Spirit designs that I've done. This one probably being one of the better pages I haven't already ready shared.
It features three fire Sol Spirits concepts I've brainstormed. Spotlight, Fury, and Enguarde. Spotlight mimics the RPG troupe of having a skill that redirects enemy attacks at the user (like Follow-Me in Pokemon). Fury enrages enemies to make them attack more randomly at the cost of hitting harder. Enguarde enables a temporary counter-attack for the turn, where any time the user Enguarde will strike the foe back.
I think the rest of these sketches are much more conceptual/non-serious so I think I'll save them for their own post once I make sure I found everything I haven't shared yet...
I've included more detail in the alt text. ( @n0rtist tag, in case you're still interested)
If you missed my explanation for what are Sol Spirits, let alone alternate forms of them, here's the initial post for all this...
Decided to share some of my Sol Spirits designs again. Long story short, @n0rtist shared some Pokemon drawings where they drew Pokemon with
Been working on a little big something...looking forward to sharing more soon.
A sketchbook page for Sole (again) and pose pratice.
A couple more Sol Spirits from that drawing session.
"Fury" enrages foes. Enraging being a special status with good and bad effects on the target. It boosts their attack but they can do only standard attacks and not pick their target for as long as they are enraged.
Enguarde acts as a counterstrike ability. Using them on a party member surrounds them in an aura for a turn. This aura doesn't reduce damage but if they get hit Enguarde will unleash a counter attack in return.
