i feel like most people in our parents generation just don't like being told that they're wrong from people younger than them? just yesterday i had an argument with my mother in which she spent ten minutes trying to tell me that reverse racism is a thing (of course i can't fully relate to your situation because i'm very white, so i'm in a very different situation than you) but - i'm sorry you have to deal with that

it’s just a little exhausting to have my own fully-formed opinions about how it’s hard for me as someone who’s biracial & who has Always felt alienated to some degree & then try and listen to my mom talk about how it’s kind of racist to hear semi-negative, flippant statements about white people.
like......she literally said “you know, if i flipped this and made it about a black person, that would be racist!!!!!!” and then i almost started screaming bc jfc she Says reverse racism isn’t a thing but continues to perpetuate it??? i don’t know which is worse
