sun prints! these were really fun to make, even if I did have to wait out cloudy days for a while at one point to make all of them... I got worried they wouldn't be done in time for new years but then I remembered I live in california
® #savethedate Our second show for @contactphoto festival "SOLARGRAPHS" By Andrew Owen @andrew_owen_a01 Launches May 18 👈 . This exhibition features massive CAMERA-LESS photographs revealing the living vitality of people, flowers, and fruiting trees produced with original, 21st-century updates of the historical Cyanotype process from 1842. Images were created with natural sunlight and living subjects at true life size, 1:1 scale with an austere range of soothing white, cyan, and deep blue tones . These works present the living world as is, both intricately delicate and powerfully massive . At 9x12 ft., some works are the largest single-take photographs produced in Canada .
