GARRETT then proceeds to rest his head on her lap, laying on the ground as he looked up at her listening intently to her story.  it wasn’t often someone made him feel as accepted as andy did, and he liked hearing about her day.  mundane stories helped relax him, make him feel like less of an outcast.  because they were outcasts together, and that was what mattered after all.  after she’d finished talking he picked his head up and licked her face, one of the few forms of affections he could show in this form, and to show he’d been listening.
