【 ♕ 】- It was such a breath-taking sight, a majestic land that she had once lived on. Filled with such vast fields of green and the sky that seemed like a perfect blue, Artoria was both honored to see a part of France and to meet her as well — Jeanne D’Arc. Working together to go against the Dragon Witch proved to be a task that would allow no rest but just this once, while her Master was taking rest, the Maiden of Orléans felt like taking a moment to reminisce about the land which she once thread upon.
A metallic hand would reach outwards to grasp onto hers evidently, as she led the King of Knights through the beautiful meadows that were littered with petite flowers of varying colours. Coupled with the silent rustling of the grass and the soft wind caressing their cheeks, Artoria would quietly follow and listen to her wonderful tales before death. She was nothing but strong in her eyes, to keep such crystallised kindness within her heart when the world could only offer nothing but cruelty and betrayal.
Their meeting and conversations had eventually become something that would inspire Artoria greatly, for even after her death – she was still learning, still trying to become someone that could be rightfully called ‘King’. Stopping in their paths before a lake, the King’s gaze would peek at her from underneath those golden locks, and ocean ellipses would only soften at the sight of Jeanne’s happiness. Her armored hand that had remained loose upon her grip would eventually tighten to give her a slight squeeze whilst the Saber would turn to face her.
“ It is my honor to hear of your memories within this land — and I can truly see why you wished to protect it so much, “ she paused in her words, raising their intertwined palms to rest another hand atop of hers, “ even after death, these moments do not escape us — though some of them are bad, I think it is a reminder of who we are. “
