“Sorry but you compared to our dear Javon is just … you’re the literal best. He’s a mere close second. Just fading into your shadow I’m afraid.” Solenn joked. She shrugged lightly, “I like him, so much, but I’ve done the chasing a Dominant thing before and … I’m just not wanting to be the unrequited one again. I mean just cause I fantasize about Sunday mornings in bed and picnics at the park with his little girl doesn’t mean he is remotely interested in that with some ditzy bartender. I’m not the girl people take seriously. I’m the girl they bang on the road to serious, with someone else.”
Jadon nervously brushed his fingers through his hair. He looked up to his brother and everyone was always so gentle with him that he had a habit of not believing the compliments that his friends bestowed upon him. He’d smile and nod, maybe even laugh a little, but then he’d go a little quiet in disbelief. “Bet you say the same thing to him when I’m not around, punk.” Jadon gave her a wink. With a nudge of his elbow, Jadon tried to reasaure her. “You’re a hell of a lot more than a bartender and don’t call yourself ditzy, that’s my friend you’re talking about.” He gave a mock scowl, but he meant it. The weight of those words, he didn’t want her to believe that about herself. “You gotta daydream. How else are we supposed to figure out what we want? I think the right person’s out there, That guy could be just as scared of you thinking he’s boring as you think you’re too convivial. Maybe you’d balance each other out.”
