Of fireworks and resolution
After Sonic had pretty much kidnapped the princess- he carried her to the city. Running at an incredible speed, they were surrounded by some sort of sound bubble, where every single noises felt so distant and were even the wind seemed to part in Sonic's wake. Once entering the city, the hedgehog didn't showed any signs of slowing down- he took the highway and dodged cars and people in the way.
Empire city's plaza- the roads were most likely blocked with tons of cars and crowds of people. But it didn't stopped Sonic. "This might get bumpy." He jumped onto the top of the cars, which in this case allowed them to breeze through the obstacles. Sonic had chosen one of the buildings surrounding the plaza and without any warning he begun to defy gravity.
The blue hedgehog ran on the surface of the building and carried Blaze up to the roof. Where he, at last, stopped to run. He let her down.
"Here we are!"
The view here was perfect- they could see the plaza where tons of people were grouped for the countdown. Fire works illuminated the sky with sparkling colors.
