tbh my thought has always been that if they rewrite him as a POC, the best option would be japanese. thoughts??
i’ve thought that too, it would make a fair amount of sense based on his past and characterization and would help with all the cultural appropriative, ‘mighty whitey’ trope stuff he has going on. i actually think i heard that daken was made half-japanese partially as an homage to what could have been, like his bisexuality
