Solrion’s arm kept the vampire pinned to the wall, using his height to keep her feet well off the ground.
“You have some gall to show up here, witch.” He tossed her off to the side, away from the others in the room with him.
The others were a good friend named Ebony, and a young woman who was with child that Solrion had been monitoring, being the only healer to still like her by now. For you see, she had befriended the vampire Solrion just threw across the room, causing the kind woman to cry out. She was naïve, he didn’t want to hurt her, but the vampire was a manipulator.
The vampire rose, confusion in her face. The elf had never once touched her, and had always given her the respect he gave everyone else.
The healer stood in front of the door, blocking any from leaving without moving him first. He said not a word as Ebony yelled at all three of them. He worried about how close she had moved towards the vampire during this, he did care for her. At one time he thought it was more, but she didn’t feel the same, so he never mentioned it again.
Again, the vampire spoke her honey barbed words, and again Ebony countered everything. The young woman began to cry. And again, the healer reminded quiet.
Soon, the young woman ran upstairs, tears streaming off her face. Once more, the elf didn’t react. Ebony knew she had to follow, but as soon as her feet landed on the top step, she froze at the sound she heard from where she came.
A click.
A pierce.
A shatter.
She ran back down the steps, the other woman slowly following.
Solrion stood over the vampire, a crossbow in his hands and a single silver bolt in the vampire’s body. She had crashed into a vase, knocking it to the hard floor where it shattered.
No one spoke for many agonizing minutes.
Solrion the healer, the man who had confessed his fears of this same vampire to Ebony not long before now. Solrion the healer, a man that the pregnant woman had days ago seen drop to his knees, begging for a bloodless end to all this. Solrion, a man they had all watched grow so very cold to them these past days, though he refused to let them in. This man they all trusted and loved, now bearing the face of a stranger when he spoke.
“You are under arrest for assault and endangering the lives of the court, I would ask you come quietly.” His voice is deathly sharp, his tone unnervingly flat. He grasped the vampire by the arm, leading her out roughly. “You should have done as I asked.”
So my character was leaving the Villa, which is where people meet, and a good friend of his was seeing him out. My character was casually asking how things were and all that. Then suddenly just as he was about to step out the door, he turned with something to say, but immediately lost his train of thought upon doing so. In real life, this is pretty normal. But in RP? This was very odd for his character without me flat out saying "hey guys something's wrong!" It might be he hasn't been sleeping (again) or something worse, but there's no reason for him to say that unless it has a point Now, to continue this, I know my character will do something harmlessly odd to another character next time. Because I like to stay consistent and always leave it to others to put their heads together and try and figure it out. I'm going to give all the hints out like we're playing Clue. If you're paying attention and share your rumors, you'll get the answer. If you don't? Well, my family's Clue board has a card that kills you if you take too long. My character most likely won't be killing, but doing nothing will make this much worse and harder to fix.
