It bothers me that they really could’ve played on that idea more, at least so that the actual protest of the King’s decision seemed more valid. Square is way too afraid to actually address a theme like that, but, they had enough guts to address with Petra and Nyx’s interaction.
And Petra is a Crownsguard, so I always wondered if Cor was like that too. Is he as prejudiced and xenophobic? For my headcanon I like to think not as severely, because he seems to spare people (like Loqi and Aranea, who he’s supposedly fought before -- or maybe Loqi and Aranea just always pull out before they die), I think Cor has been in the profession too long, but still, being replaced by someone younger and more skillful is always just gonna give you some kind of feeling, and he must’ve felt that way about the Kingslgaive.

well then fortunately I haven’t really seen that side of the fandom, i don’t recall anyone calling him effeminate, i do mostly see the jokey part of him being the ‘mom’ friend, although I can’t say I see much ignis stuff in general.
