Ok, I know ads are annoying. And I also know that they are necessary for the continued existence of Tumblr.

However, I don't see a lot of posts taking about the kinds of ads. And @staff I'm not trying to be cruel or mean or needlessly critical, but there are ads on here that are completely inappropriate.

I don't know what can be done about it. I don't know what the determining factor for ads is, but some are actively harmful. Some are straight up hilarious. I've gotten ads that are so far from the realm of my purchasing scope that I have to laugh.

But some are not ok.

This was on my timeline and it showed several instances of a very intense, sexual nature. There was an underlying feeling of aggression to the whole ad that, coupled with the sexual nature was completely inappropriate and potentially triggering.

I don't know what can be done about it. Again, I do understand that while ads are annoying, they're also necessary. I know they keep things running. Ultimately, all I'm asking for is a way to use ads that don't depict things of a violent, potentially harmful nature.
