Hana’s disguise for the convention was perfect.

First, flats. People tended to think Hana was taller than she really was, so the shorter the better. Second, brand-new-purchased-that-day official Lucio hoodie. That way she had zero nerd cred and grosser men would wave her off as a ‘dumb fake nerd girl who’s just into what’s popular’. And finally as the pièce de résistance: No makeup. She was facing the world with blemishes and that scar on her chin that never healed right. For the first time in years Hana looked normal.

Man she hoped she could pull being average off.
