beauxbatons houses

the houses at beauxbatons serve as a sub-group for member groups. the sub-groups will expand as our site develops and adults are implemented into the site. the houses are under the cut!

AIR / #444444

The people of the Air House thinks before he feels, and sometimes thinks instead of feeling. The Air House is often proud of their ability to think things through, and may even have disdain for those who rely on feeling or intuition. They are very proud, sometimes, and may come off as arrogant. Commitment doesn't come easily. Students of Air House like to flitter about and are somewhat carefree souls that need to be tied down. They love to analyze, synthesize and probe. While these folks are often calm and collected, they can turn cold if their equilibrium is upset.

Those of Eau House are compassionate and strongly control their expression of their emotions; this does not mean they are not guided by them. They can create impossibly strong bonds with people and are very caring, but they are also temperamental. They are known to be slightly -- if not completely -- irrational and they are very stubborn. They can be as inconsistent as the tides; the person you thought you know one day may seem to be completely different one a different day if something has caused them to change emotionally. They either share a lot of information about themselves or they are very, very secretive and only share information with those in their inner circles. They go by what their heart says.

Feu students are impassioned, they are "on fire," whether with ideas, goals, or causes. They are natural leaders, as they convey their passions with an intensity that compels others to pay attention. Fire people can be as fascinating, as hypnotic, as watching a campfire. They go by what they feel in their gut, rather than what their mind is thinking or what their heart feels. They can be hot-tempered, prone to rage, and even violent. The combination of lust and impulsiveness might make them unfaithful, and their utter faith in their gut instinct might make them self-righteous, barreling past the considerations and concerns of others. They are very impulsive.

TERRE / #216753

Those of the Terre House are often artistic or creative. They are usually very patient, down to earth, and tolerant. Terre students usually think long term and are usually very faithful. They touch readily; a hand on the arm, a pat on the back, or a sympathetic hug are the natural communication media of Earth. They enjoy the physical, even the vulgar, and they love to laugh. They can be stubborn and bull-headed. They can refuse to change their minds or their ways, even when they're obviously stuck and need to change. They can be difficult to argue with, sticking to their position tenaciously for no other reason than it's their position. Likewise, an Earth person can be difficult to get out of the house.

MEMBER GROUPS

Our members are sorted into groups outlined by the seven deadly sins, depending on what you have determined as your character's biggest weakness.

LUST / #6B121B Desire. A pulse-rushing, blood-boiling need that is wild and uncontrolled. Whether you embody it or have fallen victim to it over and over again, there is simply no denying it. You own it. Stemming from a lack of self-control (whether careless or not), this sin is for people with a hedonistic lifestyle. It is not just sex, drugs and rock 'n roll in its most banal form. It is an obsession you simply cannot let go of.

GLUTTONY / #793D18 You want it all, and you want it now. Whatever you call it, be it overconsumption to the point of waste or overindulgence, once you start you cannot stop. Sharing is not caring where you are concerned, and your surroundings have to be fast if they want anything of that what you have set your mind to. Because you are in it to win it, and the person who even attempts to take it away from you has obviously never crossed paths with you before.

GREED / #887906 Greed bows to you. In your eyes there is nothing you cannot have, nothing that money cannot buy. A sober life in and of itself is not a sin, but you hoard the things that others might also need, trick your way to the lowest prices, and pry people's possessions out of their hands with an eager precision that is often too subtle to notice. It is the manipulation that is the sin and your obsession with everything temporary and touchable, rather than the eternal virtues that others might be able to give you.

SLOTH / #1D436B You do not believe in anyone or anything, because you continuously fail to give matters a try and hold on long enough to see if it works. Even when you do possess talents and gifts, you fail to utilize them to the point of success. You are the one they call lazy, never setting any goals or reaching for anything that requires more than the little amounts of effort you can sporadically muster up. Life passes you by in a soft, blurry haze. And you simply do not care.

WRATH / #4A1D6B Your life is an eternal sea of hot, red rage. Sometimes the cause of these feelings is unknown even to you, but it boils and burns inside of you, always attempting to fight its way out. When others feel your wrath it is like a thundering lightning, but it does not just destroy them. Perhaps you simply enjoy to self-destruct, alienating others in a way to escape your own toxic individuality. You are vengeful, impatient and pride yourself in your control, until that one blow that finally tips you over the edge.

ENVY / #126B36 You crave for that what you cannot have. It is a discontent that grows slowly, gradually in the pit of your stomach. You perceive it as injustice, because you should be able to achieve that what others have achieved already, and yet you stumble on your way up. You cheat, and you never quite succeed. And yet you never falter, for your jealousy is your strongest motivator to continue onwards, even if it is to no prevail. You shall have that what you feel belongs to you.

PRIDE / #126B5F You see yourself as a shining light in the existence of man. If one would ask you to make up any ranking, you would put yourself right at the top. You know your talents and better qualities to the point of obsessive, compulsive detail, yet you fail to acknowledge the others who might achieve better results than you do. In your eyes it is self-confidence that motivates you, but other people would disagree and call it arrogance. Your vanity is your greatest weakness, and for you there is only one important factor; me, myself and I.

it’s about time we release our application! we expect at least 500 words for your application, but we want to see that you really understand your character! upon our initial opening stage, we will be open for student characters only. however, we will be a very fast paced site, so we will be opening up our site to adult characters in the near future after some more world building! for now, go crazy!
