Okay, I need some help. My inner hard disk has stopped working, and all of my data is stuck on it. I got a new disk, but it turns out my old hard disk is so corrupted, SATA reader can't detect it at all. Getting professional help in recovering data is out of the question, because it's way too pricy for me, so I will have to figure out how to open it up and fix it myself - which I have never done before. I only have 2 youtube videos to guide me forward.

If there's anyone within my followers who knows how to go about fixing it, I could really use some advice. I'm not even sure what tools to buy. I've seen people on youtube clean a hard disk with some pencil rubber, or just move some parts around, is that likely to get it to work? Also, does anyone have any success stories about retreiving data from a corrupt disk? I would really love to hear how you managed it.
