Well, practicing out in the open sort of goes against most magician's instincts. Potential audience members might seem incomplete tricks or see you flub something which definitely won't help your reputation and I at least find working on things in private places much more helpful than in public, especially real-time shows where you don't get do-overs.

... Didn't she mention that cart of hers in that very same post, though? Just 'cause you ain't staying in it for whatever fool reason (I still don't believe that Rainbow Dash insisted she stay in the library) don't mean you can't practise in it.
