I love the new MH g3 a lot and it angers me when someone is about to hate on it (I understand where they’re coming from, having the thought of „they’re not the same character”/„they could’ve made new characters”) especially when they’re angry about Lagoona Blue being pink like what’s the correlation here??? Cleo De Nile isn’t a river, does that upset you? Not to mention that Draculaura doesn’t even have a surname. Or Clawdeen Wolf isn’t a full wolf.
anyway here’s a HC for g3 Lagoona: she’s pink because most sea creatures turn pink/red upon being fished out or dead so she’s blue when she’s in water (I believe we didn’t see her in water just yet in the series) and pink when she’s out of it. Those other two sea creatures that are blue? It’s clearly the agenda of „pink=girls”, „blue=boys” but I like to think that they have somehow source with water (I believe Gill <<that’s his name right?>> has water plasters of sorts on his neck instead of a fish bowl on his head, as for Finnegan… idk, maybe his wheelchair is made of water or something). Also a dead fish in a cartoon targeted towards kids isn’t too much, we literally have undead, vampires, werewolves and skeletons etc. In the show
