Darcy/Bucky/Steve - the OT3 you never knew you wanted
Bring it in, Darcyland.
So I know I gush about this ship all the time, but seeing as the Darcy/Bucky/Steve tag recently turned one year old, Imma take the opportunity to do it again.
I still remember typing that tag in for the first time, thinking that it was kinda cool to be the first person to write a fic for a certain ship (only on AO3 of course, though it's not like I could find any anywhere else) and praying fervently that I wouldn't be the last.
Well, that tag is now up to 31 fics, you beautiful fuckers, and stupid as it may be, I feel a little bit of pride with every new fic/graphic/whatever that appears for this ship. Maybe you all would have gone and done all this anyway even if I hadn't written those first couple of fics, you probably would have, but I'm still stoked to have been a part of it. There's a special kind of agony that comes from being the only one writing for your ship, so thank you for curing my pain, and thank you to all of you who read and commented and encouraged not just myself, but all the other writers/artists for this ship too.
And of course I can't talk about the origins of this ship without thanking Kates (twistedingenue) for running the Darcy Lewis fic exchange, and Beths (someassemblingrequired) [edit: currently maggiefuckingjordan] for the prompt that started it all.
