what we fail to see is the work it takes. it doesn't come easy. if it was easy, we'd all have it right this very second. it takes work. it takes pushing and pulling. give and take. but we're all worth it. we're all capable of it. we're all somebody's someone. when you reject the possibility that it's not available to you, that you are incapable of having it, not perfect enough to deserve it; then you shut out the possibility of receiving it. when you stop believing that it won't happen for you, you effectively have given up on your someone. you haven't met them yet, or maybe you have. but it's out there, waiting for you. waiting for you to be ready to receive it. mentally, emotionally - we're all messed up in some way. the flaws make us human. the flaws make you, you. embrace them. understand that who you are, right now, is fucking awesome. and your someone is going to see that and think how did they ever manage to wake up every morning and breathe before they met you. we're all somebody's someone. and if you're reading this and thinking that it doesn't apply to you, that you don't matter to someone. i'm here to tell you that you matter to me. i'm here to tell you that you are worth it, that you do deserve it, that you will find it. but you're going to have to work for it. it might not be easy. it might be really goddamn hard. but nothing good ever comes from picking the easy way. you won't know how to appreciate it if it's just handed to you. so i'm telling you that it's okay to fight for it. because we're all somebody's someone. #loveforlove #somebodyssomeone #ibelieveinyou #chicago #wordsfromtheheart
