might be a hot take but as someone that loves the alice in borderland series, they're straight up milking it now that they're doing a third season. season two felt like a satisfying end and that's because that's exactly how the source material did end. with a little red bow and everything so i think that to add to that, even if it would turn out to be good, would just be blatant milking knowing that season 2 ended the way it should've. in general, i just don't like it when a show is kept running longer than it should

#especially when it means moving past from the source material and the original author's ideas and putting it in the hands of #someone completely different #ik how ironic this may sound coming from a doctor who fan #but i'd argue that doctor who does not fit into that category knowing how the show was structured from the get go #like it's a show built to be written by multiple people #because even if let's say there are instances where characterizations and lore don't add up or work #the show's premise makes it incredibly easy to retcon an idea in a way that the fact that it happened can still remain knowing how #malleable it is to explain away the past events #all the more knowing how the whole core of the show is about how the literal main character can change completely along with the personalit #that comes with that change #other shows don't have that luxury hence why some shows SHOULD have a set stopping point #and this is one of those instances #but i'm open to watching it to be proven wrong #but i won't lie and say that i won't be having low expectations coming into it #alice in borderland
