Shadow Someone

Take up their mantel

Make their face your's

The same, thoughts, beliefs, ideas come to mind

Share in their talks, partake in their Kool aid

Yours has been spiked, don't be shocked when you faint

Can't keep up the pace

Realize you're lost, this isn't you, it wasn't ever meant to be you

Time, so much time wasted playing the fool

So twisted is your face, your very being is nothing more than a knot

Begin to unravel, untangle, unwound the threads

Eventually find the center, the point of where this all possibly began

Was it you who lost yourself to the shadow

Or did the shadow lose itself within you...?

Inferiority

Within a crowd stands one person unlike the others, one who is looked up to by many; is depended on by those who are not sure of there work or themselves, but as time goes on the crowd thins and evetually the person is alone. At first they do not notice or mind, but as more time passes they notice that someone else has become the center of attention, someone with the same credentials as theirs, the same achievements and awards, almost the same personality and compassion, and almost the same set of morals and beliefs. As the person gets closer the person tries to bring up that they too have been working hard up to this point; but no one listens. More and more the person tries to bring up why they too are someone that others can depend on but no one listen, some out right ignore the person. The person can feel themself getting smaller and smaller with each and every rejection, until it's very hard to get through the crowd to the center. When they finally do, they are but a fraction of who they once where, and they know this, but they don't know why they have become this way. A shadow falls across their body, and as they look up as smile can be found upon the shadow's owner. Seen by most it is just a simple smile, but seen by the person it is nothing but a sneer. Before the person knows what happening, they are dragged down into the shadow and the last words they hear are: "Out with the old, and in with the new."
