The moment Charlotte walked into the club she knew she was in for a long and miserable night. It was nothing new to the brunette, most nights were miserable, but with her aching joints causing her pain that evening she was predisposed to the shitty attitude; but what else could she do? Despite her health issues that evening the show still had to go on. The bills weren’t going to pay themselves. Heavy eyeliner on her lids, lips stained red, and the itchy wig cap complete with the all too familiar platinum wig on top of her head she was now ready to face the world beyond those curtains. Well, maybe not before she raised her left hand to pop her medication in her mouth before taking a sip of water. Now she was ready.

What she wasn’t ready for during her shift at the strip club, however, was the sudden grabbing of her back side. She could have sworn the male receiving the lap dance grabbed hard enough to leave hand prints. "—what the fuck do you think you’re doing?!” For someone as pint-sized as Charlie was there was no doubt that she had quite the set of lungs on her. Could you blame her? Everything from that point on became a blur with her hand making contact with the males cheek to cause a commotion from not only the outraged customer but also her boss. “Did you not see him grab me like that? I—no, why the fuck am I the one being punished?” She was physically shaking she was so upset at that point, glancing around the club as all the past memories rushed back to her, “Someone out there had to see what happened. I’m not a goddamn liar.”
