It was nearly three in the morning, and the Doctor had been stubbornly occupying her apartment ever since he’d brought her down from the roof. Of course, it was absurd, in Lily’s opinion, because she didn’t deserve this kind of care or attention. She was a monster. An undead monster who didn’t deserve to be taken care of. Plus, she didn’t want this bloke that used to be head over heels for Brona, who she’d once kept chained up in her basement, poking around in her personal affects. Well, not that she had many things in her possession anyway. “So, what now?” The woman asked sullenly, filling up her sixth glass of whiskey, avoiding eye contact with the alien in her living room.
i’m struggling between whether or not i should post greeters-- so for right now, this is starter call ! like this if you want a starter! <3
He kissed the top of her head, smiling and murmuring, "Sssshhh." There was no point in arguing about that. After a moment he slid to lay on his side, letting her rest on his chest, and he wrapped the blanket back around them, encasing them in a safe, warm cocoon.
Rose burrowed into him, arms wrapping around him as well. She hated that she’d been afraid... But at least she felt better now. “You’re not annoying... Promise...” She murmured.
"Mmmm. I don't know." He chuckled. "I'm pretty annoying."
“Stop it,” Rose smiled, slapping him on the shoulder, although it was more like a gentle tap. “You’re not annoying at all.”
"Actually I've been told that I'm insufferable and impossible to cooperate with in a work place," John told her dryly. "You'd probably hate me if you'd worked with me first."
“Honestly, I doubt that,” Rose murmured, burying her nose in his shoulder, “I think no matter where we met, no matter what universe... I’d always fall for you.”
"It means you're wonderful and brilliant," John informed her quietly, "and I'm just a loser who couldn't even get a real office job because no one wanted to work with me."
“I wouldn’t mind workin’ in an office with you,” Rose smiled gently, trying to ignore the fact that he was much, much smarter than she was, “Although this would prolly be inappropriate.”
He pulled his legs up, caging her against his body. "You /are/ enough, Rose," he murmured. "You're more than enough. Frankly you're too good."
“I don’t even know what that means...” Rose murmured, nuzzling his chest gently. Of course she wasn’t good enough for him. “But I love you anyway.”
