Setting Sun at Somes Pond

Somes Pond near Somesville on Mount Desert Island near Acadia National park. I passed by this beautiful small pond many times and every time it yelled at me So Maine! On my last photo tour to this national park and on my way home I could not pass the opportunity that Mother Earth presented to me. I quickly pulled over minutes before sunset, set up tripod and camera, pulled out a set of split ND filters and patiently waited for nature to present itself in its best light and colors. The sunset did not disappoint and I love the colors in the sky, the cloud reflection and the lily pads that lead the viewer into the composition.
