Something Ominous...

Another quiet winter day within the town and thankfully it was the weekend as well, Ella was free to spend the day the way she’d want to. The other day Vivi had asked her to meet up at the corner coffee shop Ella frequented and despite her concerns, she was happy to try and spend sometime with her childhood friend. Wearing a knitted scarf and a comfy pair of ear muffs she ventured off with hopes of just some wholesome time to distract her from her own problems.  The shop wasn’t far from her home thankfully so she stuck to walking, letting the brisk air wake her up further before she got to her destination.  Ella always got herself to places early, so she ordered her usual coffee and waited for her friend to arrive, sitting in a corner spot by the shop’s window to try and spot Vivi as she came to the place.

Letting her mind wonder a bit while the shop played soft jazzy like music, the sounds of the few other patrons talking quietly, the tinkering of the porcelain cups and the metal spoons made it a very calming environment. Small cute and home made Christmas décor now littered about the establishment, truly feeling the holiday vibe. “ I’m here in the window ^^” Ella sent a small text to her friend to let her know she had gotten there already.
