Reality Check, Checked Out!
Last night when I shut down my game, it did not save. No problem, this has happened before and my story wasn't in a place where I thought it would be a problem. And when this has happened before there was never a problem. So I thought nothing of it. I assumed everything would be fine.
I was wrong. When I logged into my game earlier in the evening, I didn't pay much attention and just went into my saved game, as I always do; as I only have two saved games, the Gallagher Save and my Creation save (where I create sims and homes etc. not a save I actually play)
When my game came up it was my creation save, so I logged out and went back to the Main screen to get into my Gallagher save, and it wasn't there!!!!
I immediately shut down my game and went into my game files and NOTHING was there for my Gallagher save!!! It was like it was totally deleted!
Everything was gone........
Yes, I was totally devastated!!! So-
Unless anyone has any clue on how to find my game and walk me through pulling it out of the abyss; I am going to start a new save, with a new story. Probably not a Legacy. Thinking about just a story or a collection of stories.
I do have my Sims all saved on my personal gallery, so I may bring some of them into my stories...some of the less known characters. Not my Gallagher Legacy Heirs of course. Not real sure at this moment, but hopefully in the next few days. My theme will change to reflect the new direction I will go.
Until then, I will continue to be active and catch up on all of your great stories!! Maybe I can get some inspiration or if you want to give me some ideas I am ALL for it; my inbox is open.
The Gallagher Legacy was my very first and I truly loved writing it. I hope whatever it is that I decide to do next will be just as rewarding for me as this has been!
